Projects

Over the years I have already taken on various challenges.

I'm always looking for the next one.

Renovation rail Waalhaven Rotterdam

Dura Vermeer Railinfra 2021-2022

In my role in the Waalhaven of Rotterdam, I made an important contribution to the replacement of switches and track pieces. I learned valuable lessons during my involvement in the implementation and work preparation. I have learned how important proper planning and coordination are to make a project successful.

Together with a team of experts, I supervised the work and ensured a more efficient execution. I worked closely with other stakeholders, such as engineers and technicians from all disciplines required to build track and to ensure that the project was completed within the set deadlines and budgets. My commitment played an important role in the successful completion.

Redevelopment Rector-Buijselstraat

Stantec Oosterhout 2022-2023

At consultancy firm Stantec I played an active role in the Infrastructure department, where I contributed to finalizing the design for the streets and surroundings of the new residential area at Rector Buijselstraat in Rijen. I analyzed the requirements, prepared design drawings in AutoCAD and helped coordinate with various stakeholders, such as the client and city officials. I used my technical expertise and creativity to realize a functional design that met the modern needs of the residential area.

Circularity at Gebr. Van Kessel

Gebr. Van Kessel 2023

Together with Boris de Weert, I researched the use of circular raw materials within road building company Gebr. Van Kessel.

The research within Gebr. Van Kessel focused on reducing waste and promoting circularity. It included mapping waste streams and developing measures to better separate and limit waste. By combining administrative data, surveys and interviews, not only the amount and types of waste were determined, but also the involvement of employees. The survey brought up many ideas and suggestions, which not only resulted in simple advice for the company, but also a wake-up call for the way Gebr. Van Kessel still deals with waste.

Mock-up Elisabeth hospital Tilburg

Elisabeth-TweeSteden hospital Tilburg 2023

I designed a 3D and 2D mock-up for a hospital waiting room and resting room, which I then built in full size with a number of other students and the construction team of Elisabeth-TweeSteden hospital Tilburg.

This mock-up enabled us to visualize and evaluate the design before actual construction took place. The physical representation allowed us to test the functionality and ergonomics of the spaces and make any necessary adjustments before final construction began. The mock-up served as a valuable tool to understand room layout and to ensure the satisfaction and comfort of patients and medical staff, ultimately resulting in a better design.
